Student Success Task Force

In February 2021, Chancellor Larive charged the Student Success Task Force with establishing priorities and providing direction to various groups on campus, including the Student Success Steering Committee and groups at the divisional and departmental level.

Co-chaired by CP/EVC Kletzer and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Success Akirah Bradley-Amstrong, the task force works to establish numerical goals for four- and six-year graduation rates for entering first-year students and transfer students, and closing achievement gaps. The group also provides direction on retention rates, course performance in gateway courses and major migration.

These efforts to advance student success for marginalized and historically excluded groups will benefit students from all backgrounds and provide more equitable higher education pathways.

In October 2021, the Student Success Initiative was launched to provide essential support to students in three key areas: reducing financial barriers, navigating university life, and beyond the classroom.
