The Writing Fellows Program gives pre-tenure faculty members one course release and a budget of $1,500 to advance a writing project (funds can be used to work with an editor, hire a writing coach or participate in a multi-day writing retreat at the end of the academic year). This is a cohort-based model of structured writing support, and the Fellows benefit from the guidance of a faculty mentor who works with the cohort throughout the year to develop consistent patterns of research and writing. Rather than a group based on peer feedback, Writing Fellows centers on giving faculty time and peer/mentor support to complete their writing. The Writing Fellows program. For 2024-25, Professor Amy Mihyang Ginther will be the mentor for the program. More information about the program can be found here.
