Reporting Units

The CP/EVC is responsible for all academic divisions and units of the campus, including the University Library and UCSC Extension and six additional units with reporting lines to the campus provost and executive vice chancellor.

Administrative Policy

This website provides resources and information on UCSC policy and procedure. It is designed to help members of the campus community make decisions and streamline administrative processes that conform with official campus policies and procedures.

Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurial Development

Launched in 1979, the center supports UC Santa Cruz students along their path of entrepreneurship. It is a hub for entrepreneurs, startups, investors, mentors, innovation educators, and strategic industry experts.

Center for Reimagining Leadership

The center is dedicated to establishing workplaces and learning environments that reflect our equity-forward values and allow the full human diversity of our nation and the world to meaningfully contribute to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Institutional Research, Assessment & Policy Studies

The primary office for the collection and analysis of statistical information regarding students, faculty, and staff. IRAPS also conducts policy outcomes analyses that directly support the offices of the chancellor, executive vice chancellor, and planners at all other levels of the campus.

Records & Information Management

RIM is the campus authority responsible for implementation and governance over records management, content management, defensible disposition, and software applications consistent with regulatory requirements, university policy and RIM best practices.

Academic Senate

The Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor is the liaison with UCSC’s Academic Senate and the Office of the President of the University of California. The UC Academic Senate shares governance with the Board of Regents of the University of California in that it has purview over academic matters, including authorizing, approving, and supervising courses, conditions for admissions, certificates and degrees.
