Units and Responsibilities
Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Galloway is responsible for providing administrative leadership to the day-to-day academic and administrative operations of UCSC, leading long-term planning for the campus and overseeing UCSC's resources. She is the chief administrative and academic officer for the campus with all Administrative Vice Chancellors, Academic Deans, Vice Provosts, and Academic Personnel reporting to her.
Her responsibilities include:
- Guiding long-range budget planning;
- Directing the annual budget preparation and the allocation of campus resources;
- Guiding strategic planning and policy development;
- Coordinating academic program development with faculty and the Academic Senate;
She is the liaison with both UCSC's Academic Senate and the Office of the President of the University of California, and advises the Chancellor on all campus issues.
